Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium saucepan, brown the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden and nutty; let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth but slightly chunky.
- Mix in the browned butter, sugar, and eggs until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
- If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.

- Store banana bread wrapped at room temperature for up to 4 days.
