  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. 3. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in lemon juice, then add cooked spaghetti directly into the skillet. Toss gently to combine.
  5. 5. Remove from heat, mix in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve immediately with extra cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For added nutrition, consider adding spinach or broccoli during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute olive oil for butter.
