- 1 lb fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 3. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4. Stir in lemon juice, then add cooked spaghetti directly into the skillet. Toss gently to combine.
- 5. Remove from heat, mix in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve immediately with extra cheese if desired.
Notes
- For added nutrition, consider adding spinach or broccoli during the last few minutes of cooking.
- If you prefer a lighter version, substitute olive oil for butter.
