- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Gradually add flour and salt to form a sticky dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces, shaping each into a knot.
- Brush the knots with melted butter mixed with minced garlic before baking.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Italian herbs to the butter mix or sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese into the dough.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
