Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, onions (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat until hot.
- Form ground beef into four 4-ounce balls.
- Place the beef balls on the hot surface and press down firmly with a spatula until flattened. Cook for about 3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, then add cheese slices on top to melt.
- Toast the buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown while patties cook (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- Assemble by layering lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the patty and melted cheese, then finish with the bun.
Notes
- For lighter options, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
- Experiment with toppings like avocado or jalapeños for added flavor.
