Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 cups frozen crinkle-cut fries
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
- ½ cup sour cream (for serving)
- ¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 1 cup chopped lettuce and diced tomatoes (for topping)
Instructions
- 1. Cook the Beef Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed, then stir in taco seasoning and simmer.
- 2. Bake the Fries: Preheat the oven according to package instructions. Spread frozen fries on a baking sheet and bake until crispy and golden brown.
- 3. Assemble the Burritos: Lay each tortilla flat. Spoon ground beef mixture onto each tortilla, followed by shredded cheese and crispy fries.
- 4. Wrap Them Up: Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly from one end to the other.
- 5. Heat It Up: In a clean skillet over medium heat, place wrapped burritos seam-side down. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
- 6. Serve & Enjoy: Cut each burrito in half diagonally and serve hot with sour cream, green onions, and diced tomatoes.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in jalapeños or guacamole.
- To make it vegetarian, substitute ground beef with black beans or lentils.
