Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water if using.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, herbs, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and mold around skewers into elongated shapes about 1-inch thick.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C) and lightly oil grates.
- Grill kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/70°C).
- Serve with pita bread and your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- Fresh herbs enhance flavor; try using either cilantro or parsley based on your preference.
- For added crunch, consider mixing in diced bell peppers.
- Let kebabs rest for a few minutes after grilling to lock in moisture.
