- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the ingredients: Wash and chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
- 2. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine sliced beef with half of the teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- 3. Heat the pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 4. Cook the beef: Add marinated beef in a single layer and sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned on each side.
- 5. Stir-fry broccoli: Add broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
- 6. Thicken sauce: Stir together cornstarch mixture and remaining teriyaki sauce; pour into the skillet while stirring continuously until thickened.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute beef with chicken or tofu for variations.
- Add snap peas or crushed red pepper flakes for extra crunch or spice.
