Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly, ensuring they are wax-free.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir until dissolved, then bring to a boil until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat; stir in food coloring if desired.
- Quickly dip each apple into the syrup, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Place dipped apples on parchment paper to cool until hardened.
