  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 28 oz canned whole or diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and grated carrot; cook until tender.
  3. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart, and cook until browned.
  4. Pour in canned tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir in oregano and basil; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Meanwhile, boil salted water in another pot. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  7. Serve hot with optional fresh basil on top.
