Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp ranch dressing mix
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, cheese, ranch dressing mix, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in chopped jalapeños.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and drizzle with creamy ranch dressing before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
- If you prefer milder heat, use fewer jalapeños or substitute with bell peppers.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container; reheat slices in the microwave or oven.
