- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausages and cook until browned all over (about 5-7 minutes), flipping occasionally.
- Once nearly cooked through, add sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Stir in sliced bell peppers and cook until softened but still slightly crunchy (approximately 5-7 minutes).
- Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Slice sausages into bite-sized pieces and return them to the skillet. Mix everything together over low heat for about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot as a main dish or on crusty bread for a delicious sandwich.
