Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- Ice cubes for serving
Instructions
- Rinse strawberries under cool water, hull, and slice into quarters.
- Roll lemons on the countertop to loosen juice. Cut in half and squeeze until you have 1 cup of lemon juice.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water. Stir until dissolved, then set aside to cool.
- In a blender, combine sliced strawberries, cooled syrup, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a large pitcher and add 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
- Serve chilled over ice cubes, garnished with extra strawberry slices or lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For an extra fizzy twist, add sparkling water just before serving.
- Substitute honey for sugar for a natural sweetness.
