Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup blanco tequila
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Optional: salt or sugar for rimming glasses
Instructions
- Peel and chop the mangoes. Squeeze fresh limes until you have about half a cup of juice.
- In a blender, combine the mango chunks, lime juice, agave syrup, and tequila. Blend until smooth.
- Add ice cubes to the blender and pulse gently until slushy but not watery.
- Optionally, rim your glasses with lime juice and dip in salt or sugar.
- Pour the mango margarita into prepared glasses and garnish with lime slices or mint leaves.
Notes
- Use ripe mangoes for optimal sweetness; they should yield slightly when pressed.
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila with sparkling water for a refreshing mocktail.
- Experiment with flavors by adding mint leaves or a hint of chili powder for spice.
