Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups filtered water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Roll the lemons on a countertop to release their juices. Cut in half and juice until you have about one cup of fresh lemon juice.
- In a large pitcher, combine one cup of lemon juice with one cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Add four cups of cold filtered water to the pitcher and mix well.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh lemons for optimal flavor; bottled lemon juice lacks zest.
- Chill glasses beforehand to enhance refreshment.
- Experiment with sweeteners like honey or agave syrup for a unique twist.
