Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz cheese or spinach ravioli (fresh or frozen)
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
- Pour half of the marinara sauce into the bottom of the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce in a single layer.
- Spoon another layer of marinara sauce over the ravioli, then top with half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ricotta with cottage cheese for a lighter version or add sautéed spinach for extra nutrition.
- For an aromatic twist, sprinkle additional herbs throughout the layers.
