- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup salsa verde
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and pour salsa verde over the top. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the cooked chicken and garnish with chopped cilantro.
- Serve with rice or salad for a complete meal.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in salsa verde for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different twist.
