Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme sprigs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each chicken breast for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour the marinade over the seared chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until juices run clear.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and garnishing with fresh thyme if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Try swapping Dijon mustard for whole grain mustard for added texture.
- Pair with roasted vegetables or quinoa salad for a complete meal.
