- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped mini peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter with creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg until fully incorporated.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips or mini peanut butter cups.
- Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets, spaced two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool slightly on wire racks before serving.
Notes
- For a twist, swap half the peanut butter for almond butter or add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading during baking.
