Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup hot honey
- 4 brioche buns
- Lettuce and tomato for topping
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and pat dry. Season with salt, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs (optional), and one with breadcrumbs (optional).
- Coat each chicken breast in flour first, dip in egg wash (if using), then coat with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering (about 350°F).
- Fry each chicken breast for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil and drizzle generously with hot honey.
- Assemble your sandwich by placing the fried chicken on brioche buns topped with fresh lettuce and tomato.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for at least an hour for enhanced flavor.
- Swap hot honey for BBQ sauce if you prefer a milder option.
- Add avocado slices for creaminess.
