Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 cup filtered water
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- Add the rinsed rice, water, salt, and optional butter or olive oil to the Instant Pot.
- Secure the lid, set the vent to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
- Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining steam.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using vegetable or chicken broth instead of water.
- Experiment with spices or herbs, adding them during cooking for a unique twist.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
