- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken by mixing minced garlic, chopped basil, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat chicken thoroughly and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place marinated chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- Let rest for five minutes before slicing. Garnish with additional basil and lemon wedges before serving.
Notes
- For intensified flavors, marinate the chicken longer—up to overnight if possible.
- Feel free to add seasonal vegetables alongside the chicken on the baking sheet for a complete meal.
