Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional), chopped
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and finely chop the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, searing until golden brown on both sides (5-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; let simmer gently for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted completely, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Simmer together for another 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or coconut cream.
- Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
