- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (divided)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups canned peaches (drained and chopped)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add melted butter and the yeast mixture. Stir until combined, then knead until smooth (about 5 minutes).
- Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread remaining melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and peaches.
- Roll the dough tightly from one edge, slice into 12 even pieces, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with icing made from powdered sugar mixed with milk until smooth.
