Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup bell peppers (red or yellow), diced
- 8 large lettuce leaves (butter or romaine)
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup water chestnuts, chopped
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Dice chicken breasts into small pieces. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add chopped bell peppers and green onions; cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the diced chicken along with soy sauce and sesame oil. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked through, around 6-8 minutes.
- Mix in the chopped water chestnuts for added crunch. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Spoon the savory filling into lettuce leaves and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Customize your wraps by swapping ground turkey or tofu for chicken.
- Spice it up with chili flakes or sriracha to suit your taste.
- Store leftover filling in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days; reheat gently on the stove.
