Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 10 egg roll wrappers
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft.
- Add flavor: Stir in ketchup and mustard, mixing well before removing from heat to cool.
- Assemble the egg rolls: Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Add 2 tablespoons of filling, fold up the bottom corner, seal edges with water, fold in sides, and roll tightly.
- Fry: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry each egg roll for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
- Customize by adding diced jalapeños or different cheeses for extra flavor.
