- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/4 cup Korean soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 3 green onions, sliced (reserve some for garnish)
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- Cooked rice or lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and sliced green onions until well combined.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade and coat evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and sauté the carrots and bell peppers until slightly softened (about 5 minutes).
- In a hot grill pan or skillet, cook marinated beef in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized.
- Serve over cooked rice or in lettuce wraps, garnished with additional green onions.
Notes
- For added spice, incorporate gochujang or red pepper flakes into the marinade.
- Feel free to replace beef with chicken or tofu and experiment with different vegetables like mushrooms.
