Ingredients
Scale
- 3 overripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (browned)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mash the overripe bananas until smooth. Stir in both sugars until fully combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the banana mixture; beat until well mixed.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Pour in the browned butter and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until golden brown on top, and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For added texture, consider folding in walnuts or chocolate chips before baking.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days or freeze for longer storage.
