- 1 (16 oz) package frozen pierogies
- 1 (12 oz) turkey kielbasa, sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the turkey kielbasa and chop the onion.
- In the crockpot, layer half of the frozen pierogies followed by half of the kielbasa and onions.
- Dollop half of the cream cheese over this layer and sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of cream cheese, then pour chicken broth over everything.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.
Notes
- For added flavor, sauté onions before layering them in.
- Swap turkey kielbasa for chicken sausage or omit it for a vegetarian version using hearty veggies.
