Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 500g)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin matchsticks for even cooking.
- In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato strips with olive oil, salt, paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Spread the fries out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, ensuring they have enough space for crispiness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy and golden brown, flipping halfway through for even browning.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving; enjoy them plain or with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes before seasoning and baking.
- Experiment with spices such as cumin or cayenne pepper for added flavor; avocado oil can also be used instead of olive oil for a different taste.
