- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices American cheese
- Lettuce, tomato, pickles (as desired)
Instructions
- Preheat your griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Form loose balls of beef (about the size of golf balls) and place them on the cooking surface.
- Press down each ball with a spatula to flatten into patties and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2 minutes until edges are brown, then add cheese on top and cover briefly to melt.
- Assemble by placing patties on toasted buns and adding your favorite toppings.
- Serve immediately while warm and juicy.
