- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 lb lean ground chicken
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
Instructions
- In a pan, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant.
- Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce and chopped green onions; simmer for additional flavor.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Fold diagonally and seal edges with water.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat (around 350°F).
- Fry sealed wontons in batches until golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Drain on paper towels and arrange on plates with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
