Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned)
- ¼ cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 24 wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying (enough for about 2 inches in the pan)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix until well blended.
- Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to create a triangle; press to seal tightly.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet until shimmering over medium-high heat.
- Fry wontons in batches (3-4 at a time) until golden brown on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes total.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, experiment by incorporating spices like cayenne pepper or swapping crab for shrimp or sautéed vegetables for a vegetarian twist.
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve that perfect crispiness.
