- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat together peanut butter and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until fluffy.
- Once cooled, layer the cake with frosting between the layers and cover the top and sides.
