Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, minced
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
- 6 cabbage leaves (for wrapping)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add water until the mixture forms a smooth dough. Knead gently for about five minutes.
- In another bowl, mix minced chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and chopped cabbage until well combined.
- Roll dough into circles about three inches wide. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and pinch closed securely.
- Arrange dumplings on parchment paper in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for 15–20 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce mixed with rice vinegar and chili flakes.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider incorporating herbs like cilantro or parsley into the filling.
- To make low-carb dumplings, use cabbage leaves as wrappers instead of dough.
