Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the chopped cinnamon rolls and gently stir to coat.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in diced apples or using flavored cream cheese.
- Allowing the casserole to cool slightly before serving helps it maintain its shape.
