Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth with some chunks.
- Stir in melted butter followed by the sugar until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; whisk until blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan; sprinkle nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before serving.

- For added flavor, mix in spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze slices for later.
