A delightful fusion of sweet apples and warm cinnamon wrapped in soft, fluffy dough. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: Serves approximately 12 rolls 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and yeast; let sit until foamy.
  2. Whisk together flour and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix into the yeast mixture until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and slightly tacky.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Meanwhile, toss chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to create the filling.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, then evenly distribute the apple mixture.
  7. Roll into a log shape, slice into 12 pieces, and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  8. Cover again and let rise for another 30–45 minutes until fluffy.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to experiment by adding nuts or caramel sauce for extra flavor.
  • For creaminess, consider using a cream cheese glaze instead of icing.
